About The Position

The Technical Support Intern position at General Dynamics Armament Systems Inc provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a design environment within the Product Engineering Group. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the design and development of advanced military armament systems while developing their skills in a collaborative setting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Mechanical Engineering, entering Junior or Senior year in 2024.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct parts reviews and draft engineering reports.
• Design test plans and evaluate improvements for gun systems.
• Support fire testing and conduct engineering stress and fatigue analysis.
• Assist test range personnel and production assemblers in Saco.
• Collaborate with procurement, financial, planning, programming, analyst, designer, and engineering personnel.
