About The Position

Join Our Systems Engineering Team – Where Diagnostics Meet Innovation! Are you curious about how cutting-edge diagnostic instruments actually work? Our Systems Engineering team is on the front lines, making sure our equipment runs smoothly, integrates new tech, and keeps improving. As a summer intern, you’ll dive into hands-on projects that blend engineering, biochemistry, and electromechanics—no need to choose just one! If you love solving tricky problems and want to see your work make a real impact, we want to meet you. What you’ll be up to during your 10-12 week adventure: Team up to support our diagnostic instruments already in the field Help with integrating new features and technologies into existing equipment Assist with testing and validating systems—making sure everything works like a charm Write up your findings in technical reports (don’t worry, we’ll teach you the ropes) Use your problem-solving skills to tackle real engineering challenges When you join Hologic as a Summer Intern, you’re not just clocking in for a job—you’re jumping into a global team full of motivated, creative, and dedicated people (basically, your future favorite coworkers). Requirements

• You can work full-time during the summer (May/June - August/September)
• You’re currently working on your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with at least one semester left after the internship
• Your major is in Bioengineering, a related engineering field, or life sciences
• You’re heading into your junior or senior year
• You know how to get your point across, whether you’re writing or speaking
• You’re detail-oriented and love digging into complex problems
• You thrive working solo and as part of a team
• You’re excited to learn, try new things, and bring your unique perspective to the table
• You can work onsite at our San Diego, CA campus.
• Heads up : intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends aren’t provided, so you’ll need to have your living situation and transportation sorted out.
