The LTAMDS and Ghost eye Department within Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) seeks talented Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Students to join our team as Systems Engineers supporting Integration, Verification, and Flight & Ground Test for an advanced Missile Defense Radar System. We integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system interfaces and functions, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to our customers. Every day has a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and data analysis. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts across the program. This position is an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA. Occasional travel between Raytheon facilities in both MA and southern NH is expected.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing radar systems, weapons systems, or command and control systems
  • Experience with data analysis, including the application of scripting or automation using tools such as MATLAB, Python, etc.
  • Proficiency with commonly used test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, networks, and communication protocols
  • Exposure to concepts of radar operations and/or coursework in digital signal processing, algorithm development, electromagnetism, electronics, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Operate our systems, as well as related simulators/stimulators
  • Identify and resolve issues and anomalies through debugging/troubleshooting and data analysis
  • Integrate hardware or software into a tactical system, and evaluate the functionality and impact of these changes
  • Develop documentation, execute plans and procedures, process and analyze data, and communicate results
  • Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders
