About The Position

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Intern, Systems Engineer. The role supports the technical success of the product, from an overall systems engineering perspective, working all aspects of the full systems life cycle development process (the big V). With general supervision, this individual will work closely with the Senior System Engineers to develop hardware / software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, and verification / validation of technical products and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with internal and external customers
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with individuals within and outside of the organization and have a strong drive and sense of ownership
• Experience using Microsoft Office products

• Experience with DOORS, Cameo suite of MBSE tools or similar, MS Visio

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of Systems Engineering and the System Engineering Processes
• Collaborate with other Systems Engineers, project leaders, and immediate Supervisor in the development of work products, including System Specifications, Logically Derived and Linked Requirements, Interface Definitions, System Diagrams, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Systems Analyses, Trade Studies, and Detailed Designs.
• Assist in the performance of requirements analysis and decomposition using DOORS and other system engineering practices.
• Participate in / present at / develop and coordinate engineering artifacts at program design reviews to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure quality through adherence to the Quality Systems Manual, applicable Standard Work Instructions, and other standards invoked internally or contractually.
• Able to work under general supervision to set objectives.
• Must have attention to detail
• Perform other duties as assigned
