About The Position

POSITION OVERVIEW: As an Intern at LJA Surveying, you will support surveying teams by assisting with field and office assignments under the guidance of experienced professionals. This role provides hands-on exposure to real projects while offering insight into the day-to-day operations of professional surveyors. Interns will contribute to meaningful work while developing technical, organizational, and professional skills.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Surveying or a related field.
  • Highly motivated student with strong academic performance.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with assigned tasks under the direction of experienced surveyors.
  • Shadowing field and office operations to learn surveying practices and workflows.
  • Completing project-based assignments that support larger initiatives while gaining exposure to daily surveying activities.
