About The Position

To support retail we must continuously review our supply chain practices to ensure we are operating as efficiently as possible while maintaining excellent customer service to our stores and ultimately our customers. We have openings for interns in our warehouse and manufacturing operations. The positions will be located in Chariton, Cherokee and Des Moines, Iowa. The timeframe is approximately May 19th to August 15th, 2025. This Monday through Friday opportunity will be 40 hours per week. This internship is part of the Hy-Vee Supply Chain Internship program, which includes tours of Hy-Vee's facilities, organized networking opportunities, and a final presentation to Hy-Vee Supply Chain leadership.

Requirements

• Strong academic candidate.
• Experience with team leadership and teamwork, especially outside the classroom.
• Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written.
• Experience with problem solving and organization.
• Ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment.
• Relationship-building skills.

Nice To Haves

• Working toward, or recently acquired, a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Economics, etc.

Responsibilities

• Work with management and company employees to learn daily processes within Hy-Vee's warehouses and manufacturing.
• Engage in responsibilities similar to those expected of an entry-level supply chain or manufacturing professional.
• Learn daily processes needed to successfully service customers.
• Contribute new ideas in the form of a final presentation or paper at the conclusion of the internship.
• Work with warehouse and manufacturing management on process improvement projects.
