About The Position
The Supply Chain Operations Internship at Hy-Vee, Inc. is designed for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the retail supply chain sector. This internship will take place during the summer of 2025, specifically from May 19th to August 15th, and will be located in various facilities in Chariton, Cherokee, and Des Moines, Iowa. Interns will work Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, and will be part of the Hy-Vee Supply Chain Internship program, which includes facility tours, networking opportunities, and a final presentation to the leadership team. Interns will collaborate closely with management and employees to learn about daily operations within Hy-Vee's warehouses and manufacturing environments. The responsibilities will mirror those of entry-level supply chain or manufacturing professionals, providing a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in servicing customers effectively. Interns are expected to contribute new ideas and insights, culminating in a final presentation or paper that showcases their learning and contributions during the internship. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in process improvement projects alongside warehouse and manufacturing management, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting while developing essential skills for their future careers in supply chain management.
