About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer Intern with a strong foundation in chemical and process engineering principles. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background in science and math along with analytical thinking skills necessary to solve technical problems. This internship offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world manufacturing processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative projects, including working on improving the manufacturing process for our consumables production line. What your day might look like: A day in the life of our Manufacturing Engineer Intern is diverse and hands-on. Your journey begins with an introduction to our chemical formulation process for reference standards and reagents. You will then learn how our filling and packaging processes work, gaining hands-on manufacturing experience, which will include exposure to the new reagent filler machine. After introducing processes, we’ll review a list of projects available to find the right fit, which may include projects focused on process improvement for the new reagent filler. Throughout the day, you might find yourself: Collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor Working on your assigned projects (e.g., process improvement for the new reagent filler) Documenting and reviewing processes (work instructions, etc.) Participating in brainstorming sessions for product/testing improvements Shadowing experienced engineers to learn about different aspects of manufacturing and/or help as needed Your day will be a balance of computer-based work, hands-on tasks, and interpersonal communication, providing a well-rounded learning experience in the manufacturing field The successful applicant will possess a keen eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Familiar with or have experience in data analysis.
  • Possess a strong technical background in science and math.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
