Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? The Survivability Discipline Group (SDG) is seeking a highly motivated candidate to support system analyses of military fighter engines. Specific job duties may include: Geometric modeling in CAD Software programming Use of High Performance Computers Conduct analyses of complex systems Generate technical documentation Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations. Learn about the latest technologies used on military fighter engines Learn about and help implement analysis methods for gas turbine engines Learn to use key methodologies to help drive process improvements

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Experience creating software with common programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, Java, and/or FORTRAN
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience with CAD modeling

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
  • Experience using GitHub to manage software versioning
  • Experience creating technical documents and user manuals
