The Materials & Processes Engineering and Mechanical Disciplines (MPE + MD) department is seeking talented engineering candidates to join our summer internship program.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering/sciences field
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in building a technical career in applied materials development and characterization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in teams as both a leader and a participant

Responsibilities

  • Engine component evaluation
  • Materials and/or chemical process development
  • Analyses, testing and other support functions for both commercial and military jet engine applications
  • Mechanical testing
  • Structural analysis or structural software tool development
  • Materials analysis
  • Metallurgical or chemical analysis
  • Inspection processes or coating property analysis
  • Document and analyze data/results
  • Prepare reports and presentations
  • Draw conclusions and make recommendations based on experimental findings
