What You Will Do Technician co-ops will collaborate with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements, conduct mechanical and electrical installations, troubleshoot, and calibrate devices in the test facility or lab, as well as operate data acquisition and facility control systems during validation testing. Maintain a high degree of interaction with test engineering and operations groups requiring effective verbal and written communication skills. Perform sensor wiring, terminations, egress, signal conditioning and data acquisition system operation and troubleshooting to gain valuable knowledge and experience while meeting program and customer objectives and requirements. Leverage knowledge of varying sensor types including but are not limited to, strain gages, accelerometers, pressure transducers, thermocouples, proximity and blade positioning optical measurement equipment in order to meet test objectives by collecting quality precise data. This is a part time position from May - December requiring approximately 24 hours per week What You Will Learn Sensor wiring, terminations, egress, signal conditioning and data acquisition system operation and troubleshooting Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.
