About The Position

Interns will gain an understanding of the Technology industry, its unique operations, and high-caliber standards of work. This internship is only available on-site at the Westminster, CO location. This role is a hybrid position (split roughly 80/20) that will work with both the Data Analytics and Cybersecurity teams. Interns will assist teammates with daily work, project management, documentation, and other current projects. The internship program provides the intern an opportunity to learn about Hensel Phelps-Services and more!

Requirements

• Undergraduate students majoring in Data Analytics, IT, or other related majors and programs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and problem solve.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and Copilot are desired
• Some understanding of the Construction and Engineering industry a bonus
• Experience with Risk Management Framework and other cybersecurity standards (ie- NIST SP 800-171, NIST CSF, DoDI 8510.01, etc.) is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Typical Data Analytics tasks will include activities such as reporting, data collection, assisting stakeholders, working with artificial intelligence technologies, analysis + statistical modeling, business visualizations + strategies, as well as automation and process improvements.
• Typical Cybersecurity tasks will include vulnerability detection and remediation, control system programming, construction submittal development, and presentation of technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework and other cybersecurity standards (ie- NIST SP 800-171, NIST CSF, DoDI 8510.01, etc.) is a bonus
• Other tasks as assigned.
