About The Position

PACCAR is a Global Fortune 500 company established in 1905, recognized as a leader in the commercial vehicle, financial, and customer service fields with brands such as Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks. The Information Technology Division (ITD) at PACCAR, located in Renton, WA, utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice, and data communications services to the corporation. PACCAR ITD is searching for talented individuals to join their Internship Program, specifically for an HR internship that offers hands-on experience in a large organization. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, work directly with managers, and develop mentoring relationships while contributing to the organization.

Requirements

  • Must have ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities or deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Experience using marketing tools such as Canva or other related platforms
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business or related 4-year program with a Junior or Senior standing

Responsibilities

  • Participate in job and department duties and processes as assigned
  • Assist in Diversity & Inclusion efforts
  • Create and build new employee files and records in SAP
  • Support recruitment efforts by scheduling interviews and coordinating background checks
  • Contribute to the IT Internship program by facilitating networking events and peer mentorship program
  • Support new employee orientation and onboarding
  • Boost and plan employee engagement events
  • Provide feedback and suggestions as appropriate
  • Manage/participate in special projects as assigned
  • Create dynamic communication campaigns
