About The Position

The Summer Lab Internship Program at Quest Diagnostics provides students with hands-on experience in clinical and toxicology laboratory environments. Interns will engage in a variety of laboratory tests and process improvement projects, applying their academic knowledge in a practical setting.

Requirements

• Completed Junior Year in a four-year baccalaureate program in Engineering, preferably in Biomedical Engineering.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and lab personnel.
• Logical thought process and accountability.
• Physical dexterity to handle laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of laboratory testing equipment.
• Conduct thermometer verification and centrifuge refurbishment/verification.
• Enter work order data and perform pipette volume testing.
• Conduct electrical current leakage testing and maintain accurate record keeping.
• Assist with other basic departmental functions as needed.
