About The Position
Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity: We are looking for a summer intern to join the Structural Biology team and support multiple oncology therapeutic programs. Working from the bench, they will hone their skills in protein purification, production and harvesting of protein-small molecule co-crystals, and other core structural biology wetlab and computational techniques.
Requirements
- Undergraduate biochemistry lab experience, either coursework or research under the supervision of graduate student/professor
- Completion of organic chemistry and familiarity with small molecule representations and functional groups
- Experience with protein handling, characterization, and storage (FPLC or HPLC techniques like SEC and affinity chromatography. PAGE, quantitation via Bradford and nanodrop etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiasm to work hard and learn this summer!
Nice To Haves
- Experience with growing and harvesting protein crystals highly desirable.
- Prior use of crystallographic software suites (CCP4, Phenix) and visualization software (PyMOL, Chimera) also highly desirable.
