About The Position

The Intern Sports Performance Coach at Creighton University is responsible for overseeing the implementation of training programs for the Softball and Women's Golf teams. This role involves designing and implementing athletic performance strategies, assisting with safety and instruction for various sports, and maintaining nutrition and equipment needs. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related area.
• 1-2 years or internship experience in a related area.
• Basic knowledge of Olympic lifting and variations.
• Knowledge of specific sport concepts/strategies and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of basic statistics.
• Knowledge of physical conditioning techniques and weight training.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal/human relations skills with a desire to collaborate with colleagues.
• Organizational/planning skills.
• Leadership and motivational skills.

Nice To Haves

• USAW Sports Performance Level I certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of training aspects for the Softball program.
• Design and implement all aspects of Athletic Performance for the Women's Golf program.
• Assist in safety and instruction with the Baseball and Volleyball programs.
• Instruct strength training and conditioning exercises to student-athletes.
• Organize, design, and implement workouts for student-athletes.
• Assist in maintaining nutrition table and nutrition supplementation program.
• Supervise daily operation of weight room, including equipment maintenance and general cleaning.
• Implement and assess testing data from weight-room and assist in practice/game data concerning internal and external load monitoring.
