Under the supervision of the Sr. Technical Manager, the Software Engineer Intern will work in a program designed to help college students gain experience and develop the technology, professional and interpersonal skills to use throughout their career. Undergraduate students are assigned significant work assignments to support a specific business function.

  • Create and document technical designs for low to medium complexity solutions.
  • Participate in peer technical design review.
  • Write, test, debug, and maintain applications for end-user adoption, productivity improvement and efficiency.
  • Research, analyze, and produce high quality source code for low to medium complexity solutions.
  • Create, modify, and enhance low to medium complexity programs.
  • Assist with technical design and documentation.
  • Enable integration with third party applications using available tools.
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Develop knowledge of the company's applications.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Develop and document effective unit test cases to test solution and validate results are as expected.
  • Modify code if unit test fails.
  • Provide accurate project effort estimates.
  • Adhere to RTS project methodology throughout project lifecycle.
  • Create solutions that adhere to and incorporate RTS standards.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an interest in majoring in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior Undergraduate Program student status by arrival date.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to deliver on deadline-driven tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compensation range of USD $21.00/Hr. - USD $26.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
