We are looking for dynamic students to join our summer internship program that is scheduled for June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026. Invitation Homes 10-week paid summer internship is the first step in building a career as a Software Engineer. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and assigned mentor. This is an opportunity for personal and professional development, community outreach, executive speaker series and other meaningful intern specific events. This Information Technology Intern is a unique opportunity to learn the operations of the Technology department firsthand. We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer who is ready to apply business practices and processes in a fast-paced, real world environment. The intern will assist on our public website and be a part of building many key features in JavaScript, HTML/CSS & SQL.

Requirements

  • Rising Senior pursuing bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university in Technology or another related field with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
  • High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability; specifically, the ability to work as self-starter
  • Desire to grow professionally and collaborate with others
  • Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Desire to work in Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product to understand business goals
  • Propose solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders
  • Design and implement features, incorporating feedback from the team
  • Writing automated tests and working with the quality assurance team for any additional manual testing
  • Deploying the features and monitoring its impact in production
  • May perform additional projects upon request
