We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities at our site in Bothell, WA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. As a Software Engineering Intern on the Imaging Software Team , you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience designing, implementing, and executing imaging algorithms on CPU and GPU platforms. Working closely with an experienced mentor, you will apply signal processing techniques while contributing to real-world healthcare technology. You will be exposed to agile development practices and the software development lifecycle within a regulated environment , gaining insight into how high-quality medical software is developed at scale. At the end of your internship, you will present your work and results to a group of peers, sharing both technical outcomes and lessons learned

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with signal processing techniques and theories
  • Knowledge of and/or experience programming in an object-oriented language such as C++, Python; knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in working with GPU programming languages such as CUDA
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems; strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
  • Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box"; effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, project managers, and clinical specialists
  • Self-starter with good organizational and time management skills
