SandyPines Residential Treatment Center is a 149 bed Residential Psychiatric Facility servicing children and adolescents ages 5 to 17. The facility is located in beautiful sub-tropical South Florida and is nestled beside Jonathan Dickinson State Park which creates a rustic, roomy outdoor atmosphere. Requirements

• Enrolled in a Master’s Degree program from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or other related fields.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for documenting assessments, treatment planning, and interventions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary treatment team members, managed care representatives, adults, and patient families.
• Knowledge of individual, group, and family therapy dynamics and techniques related to cultural, social, economic, communication, and role expectations within family systems.
• Knowledge of clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work with Therapists responsible for conducting therapeutic services for patients.
• Provide counseling sessions for families, individuals, and groups.
• Interview and develop the psychosocial history of patients.
• Assess the therapeutic needs of individuals and families.
• Develop appropriate treatment objectives and monthly treatment summaries.
• Act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during their stay at the facility.
• Advocate for patients and families with the treatment team.
• Liaise with outside agencies and individuals for discharge planning coordination.
