The School Social Work intern, under supervision, provides services to support students' social and emotional well-being and collaborates with the school counselor, behavioral health therapist, teachers and other relevant individuals to support students. This includes completing needs assessments, referrals for community-based services and follow-up services. This is a unpaid internship. Internships with our program require a 2 semester/3 quarter commitment and ideally start in the fall to align with the academic school year for the student population we serve. This time frame enables fulfillment of the contact hours required by most universities and a rich learning experience. Please apply by early spring when seeking an internship with this program that will start in the fall of the same year. Note: Please provide a one page narrative that includes why you have chosen to pursue your specific degree and what you hope to gain by being with us at Union County Human Services. Please limit the narrative to one page, double spaced.
