Requirements

  • Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
  • Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA.
  • Junior or Senior classification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.
  • GM Financial does not provide sponsorship for a work visa status for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership and coordination support to the development of digital automation solutions (RPA)
  • Learn how to process requirements for automation, clarify the inputs and expected outputs and create the necessary automation documentation
  • Assisting with project plans, requirements definition, documentation, vendor management and support of automation deliverables
  • Assess processes for automation and make recommendations on which processes should be automated
  • Articulate the need to have business processes well-documented as part of automation solutioning and support the business in the development of their process documentation
  • Assist with facilitating meetings including preparing agendas, coordinating schedules and materials, following-up on action items, organizing and distributing project related documentation
  • Collaborate with process owners to understand and validate automation requirements
  • Summarize and formulate viable recommendations for the improvement of business processes, operations, and internal controls
