About The Position

As a Risk Management Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of risk, including BSA/AML, Fraud, and Security. This is a unique opportunity to explore the world of financial risk while contributing to meaningful work that protects our members and strengthens our organization.

This is a 20-hour per week, in-office internship opportunity that runs through July 31st, 2026 and offers $15 per hour in compensation. We also offer flexible schedules to accommodate your school schedule, as well!

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
• Interest in risk management, compliance, fraud, or financial services
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred)

Responsibilities

• Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance
• Review Customer Identification Program (CIP) reports for new members
• Upload and maintain daily compliance reports
• Support efforts to ensure adherence to BSA/AML requirements
• Fraud Prevention
• Assist with data and trend analysis to identify potential fraud patterns
• Support fraud case work, including closeouts and affidavits
• Contribute to member education initiatives focused on fraud awareness
• Security
• Review and clean up data across various security systems
• Assess system accuracy and identify opportunities for improved efficiency
• Support process improvements that strengthen internal controls
