The Research Training and Education Team at MaineHealth Institute for Research is a small but mighty team of four that supports training programs for MHIR's 100+ research learners. We provide infrastructure and support and develop programming for research fellows, PhD students, master's and medical students, undergraduates and high school students who work with MHIR faculty on research projects in molecular medicine, population health, and clinical/translational topics. If you love organizing, planning, and connecting with others, this dynamic internship in research education administration may be for you! The Research Training and Education intern will work closely with our team on planning and implementing activities related to our Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP), and will help us explore connections with our research training program alumni to build a strong network. Our intern will learn skills in program development, implementation, and evaluation, communication, and data management. There will be lots of opportunity for professional connection and mentorship! Education administration is a unique and satisfying field for people who love to organize, connect, and support others, and we welcome you to join us this summer.
