About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic engineering student to work on the test tools needed for manufacturing Ivenix life-saving medical infusion pumps. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience where the intern will gain practical, real-world exposure while supporting day-to-day operations and project-based work. The intern will work closely with experienced professionals, participate in meaningful assignments, and develop valuable skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is ideal for students who are eager to learn, take initiative, and apply classroom knowledge to real business challenges. This internship is designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities while contributing to the success of the team. Must be authorized to work in the United States. The company will not sponsor work visas or other employment authorization (i.e., individuals on student visas are not eligible for an internship). Payrate is based on completed number of years in college: o Completed freshman year by start of internship: $24.73 per hour o Completed sophomore year by start of internship: $26.45 per hour o Completed junior year by start of internship: $28.18 per hour

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a student in an accredited college or university program
  • Pursuing a degree related to the position
  • Be classified as a minimum of an entering sophomore or above
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
  • Must commit to a minimum of 10 weeks of internship

Nice To Haves

  • Be familiar with command line interfaces, or a demonstrated desire to learn.
  • Python and/or LabVIEW experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • In this role you will be responsible for the validation and unit testing of a set of hardware and software tools used in the manufacturing and service of the Ivenix infusion pump.
  • You will be challenged to identify areas for improvement in the tools, and to implement those improvements.
  • Your efforts will help ensure that every pump is built efficiently and 100% correctly.
  • This intern will utilize hardware and software tools for functional testing, calibration, and verification of a large volume pump in a manufacturing context.
  • You will master FDA and quality system regulations and validate tools that meet those standards.
  • You will become familiar with the systems used daily by software engineers.
  • You will work closely with systems, Software, and Manufacturing engineers to achieve project objectives.
