Lanteris Space is currently seeking an engineering student to join our 2025 summer intern program in Palo Alto, Ca. Product Assurance is comprised of various roles that contribute to the development, production, test, and launch of satellites. These roles are instrumental towards ensuring that Maxar Space products & systems delivered to customers work correctly the first time, every time. Fulfilling requirements over the life of the mission in a safe, reliable way while minimizing waste & rework. This involves significant collaboration with interdisciplinary teams from multiple subsystems. We are seeking an engineering intern who is looking to round out their education by gaining real-world experience in a hands-on setting within Lanteris’ Reliability Physics Lab. The opportunity consists of a variety of activities centered around parts, materials and processes that often require additional test and/or inspection to support lot acceptance or to further a particular failure investigation. Such activities include destructive physical analysis, surface analysis, testing to failure, cross-sectioning, prohibitive materials testing, lot acceptance testing and much more. The type of equipment being utilized ranges from SEM, FTIR, outgassing equipment, flat-wise tensile test equipment, electronics test equipment, FPGA programming, x-rays, etc.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program in materials, electrical, mechanical or aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, or related discipline
  • Ability to lift objects unassisted up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a lab environment, on-site in Palo Alto, CA
  • Prior lab courses/experience with lot acceptance testing and/or failure analysis
  • Ability to analyze and validate data based on qualitative and statistical techniques
  • Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
