About The Position

Under general supervision, assist with various functions within Reinsurance Finance.

Requirements

• Major in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• PC proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with internal and external customers.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work FT hours per week during summer (school leave) and 15 to 20 hours per week during school.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in insurance is a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide claims notification to reinsurance companies. This includes initial notice and follow up until final settlement.
• Assist in reconciliations related to new system implementation.
• Preparation of premium remittances to ensure timely and accurate submission to brokers and reinsurers.
• Record cash application of reinsurance premium and claims into our Sapiens and WINS reinsurance systems.
• Prepare reinsurance billing of claims accurately.
• Various ad hoc projects.
