The mission of Advanced Technology Programs (AT) is to be the affordable source of new, unparalleled capabilities to our warfighters and civil authorities by: The creation of competitive technology discriminators The seamless transition of next-generation solutions, partners, markets, and customers Collaborating to enhance development capability across Raytheon Our Advanced Technology Advanced Integrated Surface Sensors Program Area is looking for a dynamic intern to join their team! The intern will learn and support both existing engineering development programs and new business capture. The intern will learn and apply Raytheon industry-leading tools, processes and technologies to hardware, software and large-scale system of systems prototypes, modeling and simulation and other exciting fields. The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a teamwork environment, having not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. Additionally, the candidate should possess an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to complement their academic experience.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s (or higher) degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their freshman year by the start of summer 2026.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
  • Previous Engineering project and/or internship experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working in teams
  • Results-oriented with good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Applying your academic knowledge and participating as a member of a multi-discipline team.
  • Contributing to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads.
