Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in related field such as Polymer Science, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Completed sophomore year (20 credits minimum) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Fundamental understanding of safe laboratory practices for product development and characterization.
  • Fundamental understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively on a variety of scientific, engineering, and manufacturing assignments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

  • Apply newly acquired knowledge to technical assignments and gain valuable, hands-on experience.
  • Perform assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge and abilities.
  • Actively acquire on-the-job training and knowledge of specialized scientific or engineering principles.
  • Perform a variety of technical assignments to provide experience and familiarization with the technical or engineering staff.
  • Gain experience with six sigma statistical process control fundamentals.
  • Assist team members to accomplish their project assignments.
  • Attend internal trainings/meetings and apply in work assignments.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
