Requirements
- The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their sophomore year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a science based degree program, Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Must possess basic knowledge of chemistry.
- Must be able to work with complex laboratory equipment, chemicals, and fragile glassware.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks successfully.
- Must possess basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Support initiatives within the Research and Development Chemistry laboratory.
- Operating laboratory equipment including but not limited to analytical balance, pH meter, dissolution apparatus, and UV spectrophotometers under the direction of a supervisor.
- Prepare solutions (i.e. buffers, mobile phases, diluents) and samples are per procedures.
- Calculate raw data by calculator or computer.
- Assist in the calibration and record keeping of laboratory equipment.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory.
- Assist the stability management team as needed.
