About The Position

The Quality Intern position at Volvo Group is designed for students to gain hands-on experience in quality management within the manufacturing sector. Interns will work closely with experienced staff and engineers on innovative projects, applying their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in a supportive environment focused on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree and must remain fully enrolled during the internship.
• Completed 30 credit hours or more prior to the start of the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Preferred degrees include Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Motivated Junior or Senior in good academic standing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with quality management systems.
• Familiarity with ISO standards.
• Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Track and report quality metrics within the Quality Department.
• Update and maintain the Quality Management System to comply with current ISO standards.
• Interface with plant personnel to achieve quality and production goals.
• Assist in integrating the Quality Management System into a global Operational Management System.
• Support and measure quality-in-station practices throughout specified assembly areas.
• Participate in root cause analysis of quality defects and employ problem-solving skills for resolution.
• Assist the Quality team with various projects as directed by the supervisor.
