We are seeking a motivated Co-op Student in QA Testing to support our datalogger product line. This role is ideal for a student interested in hands-on experience with embedded systems, telemetry, and cloud integration. You will be directly involved in testing both firmware and end-to-end system performance across multiple telemetry paths, including integration with our AWS cloud environment. This position will last from January 2026 - May 2026.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related program.
Familiarity with QA processes, test scripting, and documentation.
Interest in embedded systems, telemetry communications, and cloud platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Participate in the writing, execution, and documentation of QA test cases.
Update and maintain test scripts to reflect evolving requirements.
Conduct manual testing on datalogger firmware and hardware.
Perform end-to-end validation and verification testing, including telemetry paths:
GOES
IRIDIUM
Cellular
Radio
AWS Cloud integration (via MQTT, MQTT-SN, and brokers/topics)
Test data flow from dataloggers through telemetry links into AWS cloud services.
Record, track, and report test results, issues, and bugs using established tools.
Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and cloud engineering teams to ensure overall system quality and reliability.
