About The Position

As the global leader in diagnostic information services, Quest Diagnostics is at the forefront of protecting community health. The Public Health Operations team is an Intern to assist with several initiatives. The Intern will assist in planning and designing public-facing materials that highlight the work of the public health operations department at Quest — public-private partnerships, studies, policy, and facilitation of Quest’s greater capabilities in support of public health. The internship is remote and the Intern can work anywhere within the US.

Requirements

  • To be eligible to participate, students must meet the following qualifications by the start date of the program: Currently enrolled in either an undergraduate (entering junior or senior year) or graduate program.
  • A minimum of a 3.0 or better overall from an accredited institution
  • We are interested in undergraduate or graduate students in programs with titles similar to: Public Health (no specification) Public Health Communication / Marketing Healthcare Administration Health Policy and Management/Administration Health Promotion and Education Public Relations or Strategic Communication Community Health Data Analytics / Biostatistics

Responsibilities

  • Conduct benchmarking and analysis of how public health partnerships are communicated across different sectors and platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams within Quest to develop content, potential branding elements and messaging aligned with Quest standards and aimed at public health partners and stakeholders.
  • Document progress, gather feedback, and create report(s). Examples might include website prototype, marketing resource toolkit (a set of proposed marketing materials), feedback analysis from interviews, and evidence from the literature.
  • Produce a final Capstone report out of how the public health operations team can best market/promote/communicate our program/capabilities for targeted outcomes. The impact assessment may detail how these materials could increase visibility, strengthen partnerships, improve communications, and lead to a more robust pipeline.
