About The Position

This is a 3-6 month internship, starting 1/6/2025, located in Rockville, MD. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic college student to join our team in the field of protein chemistry and cell culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic laboratory environment, focusing on aseptic techniques, mammalian cell culture, and basic protein chemistry for downstream purification and protein analysis.

Requirements

• Currently a rising senior, enrolled in a college program related to biology, chemistry, or a related field.
• Prior experience working in a lab.
• Strong interest in protein chemistry and cell culture techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply aseptic techniques to ensure contamination-free experiments.
• Assist in the cultivation and maintenance of mammalian cell cultures.
• Participate in protein purification processes and conduct protein analysis.
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research and development projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members to report findings and progress.
• Shipment/Storage of final reagent materials.
