About The Position

Purpose Summer Interns take on a wide variety of responsibilities ensuring a platform for growth and a deeper, hands-on understanding of the world of construction. We offer internship roles in preconstruction as well as project management.

Requirements

• College degree in progress in construction management, architecture, engineering, and/or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read plans and specs
• Effective written and communication skills
• Self-starter, curious mind, hungry to learn
• Working knowledge of company software programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Procore a plus.
• Ability to independently organize work assignments and meet critical deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Solicit subcontractor bids
• Perform quantity takeoffs
• Administer subcontracts
• Produce and manage the submittals process
• Track change orders
• Manage procurement log
• Work on close out packages
• Assist with schedule management
• Learn about and support the building permit process
• Produce meeting minutes
• Review RFI’s
• Assist with maintaining project document files and logs
• Assist with maintaining a current set of drawings
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
