About The Position

The Production Internship role performs a wide range of activities in a
real-time business environment. The Intern is assigned mentors who provide
active learning experiences and achievement objectives. Work is performed
outside of classroom schedules unless the internship has been approved to occur
during school hours.

Berry Growing Practices  

Understand the berry industry by supporting on infield trials for berry
growing practices through sharing of best practices through findings from
analysis from top performers and lower performers to close our performance
gap. 
All commodities cull analysis by overseeing process of collection and
evaluation of all the different commodities that are not suitable for
packaging. 
Collecting data on harvester efficiencies such as picking speeds. 
Analysis on pest counting and scouting.
Review data collected, present findings and recommend improvements to
production team. 

Field Data Collection Operations

Learn, support and apply knowledge using field data collection systems from
back office to recommend improvements to Production. 
Troubleshoot as needed, for systems used. 
Data collection and analysis of miscellaneous production trials across all
commodities.

Requirements

• Communicate verbally and in writing in English and Spanish, preferred

• Proficiently use Microsoft Office suite
• Can work independently and manage their own time
• Detail oriented, curious, analytical
• Be flexible and have the ability to work in various conditions (both indoors and outdoors)
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree in any of the following: Agricultural, Course studies in agriculture, horticulture, pest science, or agriculture business
• No working experience required
