Department On Location Technology — Data Products & Operations (DPO) designs, delivers, and operates the data products and pipelines that power decision-making across On Location and key partners. The team sits within Technology and works closely with Business Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to unify data, ensure quality, and turn insights into measurable business outcomes. DPO partners on enterprise customer data initiatives and Salesforce programs (e.g., Data 360 / Data Cloud), aligning stakeholders and use cases so data activation supports revenue, marketing, and service needs across the portfolio. The remit also includes external data integrations, such as secure file transfers with leagues and partners, as well as governance standards that keep shared data assets reliable, scalable, and compliant. The team maintains a steady delivery cadence with product managers and data analysts to prioritize work, resolve issues, and sustain performance. Program Details We offer internship opportunities across IMG, On Location, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), TKO Corporate, UFC, and WWE. Locations include New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Raleigh, Dallas, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, and Stamford, CT. All internships are in the office and in-person, unless otherwise noted. In addition to hands-on experience and exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns participate in events such as welcome/farewell sessions, a speaker series featuring company leaders, and career training workshops addressing everything from LinkedIn profile enhancement to resume building, interviewing skills, and networking. Internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the intern location. Important Dates By January 30th: Internships are posted to our career sites. February 28th: Applications will be accepted through this date. March 1st to March 27th: Recruiters will contact candidates and begin the interview process. March 30th to April 17th: Offers will be extended to selected candidates. May 18th: Program start date. The program will be 12 weeks in length from May 18th through August 7th. If selected for the position, a recruiter will call to extend an offer. If you have not been selected, a recruiter will reach out to let you know. Requirements

  • Strong interest in learning how data science and analytics are applied in large-scale live events and the entertainment industry
  • Excited by how data enables business decisions and passionate about building scalable, high-quality data products
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and other business teams, serving as a conduit between data and the business
  • Currently pursuing or having completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong SQL fundamentals and advanced Excel skills, with comfort writing queries, validating results, and troubleshooting issues
  • Quality-first mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate business requirements into data checks, acceptance criteria, and clear documentation

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and monitor data models and lightweight data pipelines, performing QA and documenting acceptance criteria to ensure reliable downstream activation
  • Support customer data and marketing use cases, including segmentation, identity resolution, golden records, and campaign readiness, in partnership with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams
  • Develop lightweight dashboards and ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders, organizing outputs and documentation in shared workspaces for reuse
  • Contribute to data governance and operational excellence by writing runbooks, logging issues, and participating in backlog grooming and sprint rituals
