About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Management Intern to join our Consumer Solutions (Retail) team, supporting the SanDisk memory card product portfolio. This internship offers hands-on experience in hardware product management and market development within the consumer electronics and removable flash storage industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and Operations—to help define, develop, and launch new products.

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in consumer technology; early adopter mindset a plus.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical or engineering coursework/experience is highly desirable.
  • Solid analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret data and synthesize insights.
  • Retail or consumer electronics experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support product lifecycle management for SanDisk Memory Card products—from concept and definition through launch and end-of-life.
  • Assist with drafting and refining product requirements documents (PRDs).
  • Help develop and validate end‑user use cases across key market segments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and customer trend evaluations to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Prepare project status updates and sales performance summaries.
  • Act as a product advocate, supporting internal teams with product and technical insights as needed.
  • Assist in business planning, including cost modeling and basic profit/loss analysis.
  • Contribute to product positioning, value proposition development, and differentiation strategy.
  • Track new product schedules, deliverables, and launch timelines.
  • Research emerging technologies, standards, and ecosystem trends to help shape future product direction.
  • Support roadmap management activities, including internal communication and stakeholder updates.
