The Manufacturing Fab internship is located in Manassas, Virginia. The duration of the internship will be from May - September 2026. In order to be qualified for the internship position, applicants must be willing to relocate to the Manassas area for the entirety of the internship and remain enrolled in coursework through their University. This position will be within the Product Integration Group. You will work with experienced Process Integration Engineers to work on Continuous Improvement projects and tasks to support high-volume manufacturing of DRAM, NAND, and NOR. Continuous Improvement – Develop and implement long improvements in equipment or processes that result in cost reduction, improved reliability, improved yield, and safety improvements Quality/Yield – Analyzes ongoing system performance and data/charts, summarizes performance and resolution to system issues. Projects: Work to analyze area performance on various manufacturing quality metrics including process control parameters, SPC, and yield. Help Engineering/technician staff automate reporting and improvement activities. Use programing to query and format information to create actionable reports. Performs engineering analyses, technical reviews, calculations, on area improvement projects. As an Intern, you will have opportunities to do the following Gain Process experience that compliments your studies Develop an understanding of Micron’s Business and Functions, products, and internal customers. Work in a dynamic, team environment that leverages the resources of our company. Work alongside experienced semiconductor technology professionals to increase your learning and development Develop an understanding of location specific manufacturing technology. Participate in the co-op/intern program work-specific training and development.

Requirements

  • Qualified applicant must be willing to relocate to the Manassas area for the entirety of the internship and remain enrolled in coursework through their University.
  • Qualified applicant must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or another relevant major.
  • Qualified applicant must be pursuing degree throughout entirety of internship

Nice To Haves

  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Capability, Standard Deviation
  • Knowledge of programing / database query and charting is desirable.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and organize different groups of stake holders and multitasking
  • Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner
