About The Position

The Product Engineer Intern position will be located in our Morristown, TN plant. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as a Product Engineer Summer Intern. This position will assist engineering and manufacturing in driving improvements in quality and delivery performance through process control and improvement initiatives. The 2025 Summer Internship Program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, fun networking events to connect with fellow interns, and projects selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, each intern will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Aerospace will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any role, and it's Howmet's goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.

Requirements

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Aerospace, Chemical, Manufacturing, Material Science, Mechanical or Metallurgical) from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
