Diasorin Summer Internship Program At Diasorin, our ten-week (June 1st-August 7th) paid internship program offers hands on experience that correlates with your degree focus. You will contribute by delivering key tasks and projects that provide to our broader mission of the organization, and how we have an impact on patients’ lives. As an Intern of Diasorin, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow interns, and employees through various onsite and offsite activities! You will also be able to gain industry knowledge that will aid in your professional development, while showcasing your learnings and accomplishments to Senior leaders and fellow colleagues. About the Role We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Immunoassay Product Development Intern to support the development, optimization, and validation of immunoassay-based diagnostic products. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with scientists to assist in laboratory experiments, data analysis, and process documentation throughout the assay development lifecycle. This internship is ideal for students interested in biotechnology, diagnostics, and applied laboratory research.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of immunology and protein–antibody interactions.
  • Hands-on lab experience with immunoassay techniques (ELISA, Western blot, or other binding assays).
  • Familiarity with pipetting, aseptic technique, and general laboratory safety.
  • Experience preparing buffers, dilutions, and chemical reagents.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret scientific data and use basic statistical tools
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, optimization, and/or validation of chemiluminescent immunoassays.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments including reagent preparation, sample handling, and assay execution.
  • Perform analytical testing to evaluate assay performance (e.g., precision, sensitivity, specificity, linearity, stability).
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, experimental records, and documentation compliant with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze experimental data using statistical tools.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for design history files, standard operating procedures, and development reports.
