About The Position

As a Design Intern at SoFi, you’ll be working on real-world, complex, user-focused problems that impact millions of people with the intention of shipping a well thought out solution. As a result, you’ll be set up to make a tangible, lasting contribution to the company and product. From day to day, you’ll collaborate closely with your Design Mentor, other Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, Engineers and key stakeholders to brainstorm, design and champion your work. In the lifecycle of a Member with SoFi, a loan is rarely just a transaction—it is a pivotal life event: The first car that gets them to a new job, funding for their education with a student loan, a home where they’ll raise a family, a personal loan that consolidates debt and provides a breath of fresh air. When you join this team, you aren’t designing a utility; you are designing the moment a member says, "I can do this." The lending journey for our members can be summarized in two key milestones: applying for a loan, followed by ensuring timely payments after the loan is funded. This role focuses on the second milestone and spans across all loan products. The team is responsible for designing the experiences that help members manage their loan payments, provide programs and innovative solutions to support them during financial hardship, and enable personalized product discovery of other SoFi products to benefit the entire SoFi ecosystem. At SoFi, we pride ourselves on including our Interns in our normal routines so you have direct exposure to the work and process of our entire Design Organization and larger internal team. You’ll have direct access to learn from previous Design Interns who have since joined full time. And, at times, access to SoFi Senior Leadership via access to Intern Program events. By the end of the experience, it’s our goal that you walk away with tangible, meaningful experience working the tech industry and as well as directly applicable work samples of your contributions. The candidate must be available for the entire internship period: Cohort 1: Monday, June 1st, 2026 to Friday, August 21st, 2026 Cohort 2: Monday, June 15th, 2026 to Friday, September 4th, 2026
