Job Description As a Kite/Gilead intern you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company’s mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: The Intern will contribute to the characterization and understanding of our cell therapy products and processes through advanced analytical techniques. Specific responsibilities may include: Method Development: Develop and optimize LC-MS/MS methods for in-depth quantitative and qualitative proteomic analysis of cell therapy products. Sample Preparation: Perform complex sample preparation, including cell lysis, protein extraction, digestion, and peptide fractionation. Data Acquisition: Operate and maintain state-of-the-art high-resolution mass spectrometers (e.g., Orbitrap-based systems). Bioinformatic Analysis: Utilize bioinformatics tools and pipelines (e.g., MaxQuant, Proteome Discoverer, R, Python) for large-scale proteomics data analysis, including statistical evaluation, protein identification, quantification, and pathway analysis. Tool Development: Design, develop, and implement in-house bioinformatic tools and databases to enhance the storage, processing, and visualization of proprietary proteomics data. Collaboration & Presentation: Work cross-functionally with process development, research, and manufacturing teams, and clearly present data and conclusions to a diverse scientific audience. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, methods, and results. Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship
