About The Position

A Process Control Engineer Intern in Micron's Technology Development team will participate in the development of process and equipment control solutions. In this position, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with process engineering, IT, equipment automation, data engineering, and data science teams to develop and deliver high quality control strategies and sophisticated methods of variation prediction, identification, and reduction. Specifically, as a PCE R2R Intern, you will learn to develop specific models to identify process variation and further improve variation detection and control capabilities with an end goal of efficiency, equipment & product safety, process variation reduction, and yield improvement. You will participate in data analysis and automation activities, model building and advanced strategy development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a strong curiosity about Statistical Process Control and Semiconductor Manufacturing
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization and prioritization skills to plan, drive and complete projects effectively
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to follow sophisticated procedures
  • Identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to improve overall efficiency
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting/web development languages a plus (e.g. JMP, Python, Java, JS, TS)
  • Ability to evolve skills via internal and external education opportunities
  • Experience in software testing/verification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions to reduce process variation and develop systems that automate or simplify process control tasks
  • Identify process requirements to design and deliver decision logic
  • Write scripts to extract, shape and filter data for analysis to develop predictive and control models
  • Extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages and apply data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques
  • Communicate complex analysis in a succinct and impactful manner
