About The Position

The Private Equity Intern position at the New York City Comptroller's Office offers an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the financial management of the city's pension systems. Interns will work closely with the Bureau of Asset Management, assisting in fund underwriting, learning about investment platforms, and contributing to various projects aimed at achieving exceptional investment outcomes for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Matriculation at an accredited college
  • Continuance as a student in college is required for employment

Responsibilities

  • Assist the PE team in fund underwriting by shadowing senior members' meetings and drafting certain parts of the Greenlight and IC memos
  • Learn about the platforms and tools (TopQ, Burgiss, and SPI etc.) for LPs and use them in manager selection and evaluation
  • Reconcile consultants' data to the PE Exposure Table
  • Participate in any ad-hoc projects
