About The Position
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Intern - Power Generation Data Analyst in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. WEC Energy Group is seeking a Data Analyst Intern starting May 2025. This position is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin within the Operational Excellence and Innovation Task Force. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office. The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.00 with paid company holidays. This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2026 with the potential to work part-time during the fall/school year. Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Data Analytics or related degree with a graduation date after June 2026.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. We will not sponsor for Employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a hybrid setting

- Experience with Power BI
- Experience writing code, programs, and/or algorithms
Responsibilities
- Perform data collection, data mining, data cleaning, ETL, and organization of data from a variety of sources including relational databases
- Perform data analysis and potentially data engineering
- Help develop data visualizations, metrics and live dashboard
- Potentially create new ways for operations to collect, analyze, display and use data
- Collaborate with team members, IT and various work groups as needed
- Alternate between remote and office work as needed (hybrid setting)
