  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or Transportation Planning program.
  • Demonstrated interest in Roads & Highways planning and transportation infrastructure.
  • Ability to be based on-site at our Phoenix office location is important.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and GIS; familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or transportation modeling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Exploring Transportation Plans – Learn how to interpret and work with planning documents, feasibility studies, and corridor assessments.
  • Digging into the Data – Perform research and data analysis related to traffic patterns, land use, and transportation trends.
  • Getting Involved in Project Planning – Assist with project monitoring, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination efforts.
  • Building Your Technical Skills – Gain experience using GIS, modeling software, and other planning tools.
  • Collaborating with Experts – Work closely with planners, engineers, and technical staff on innovative transportation projects.
  • Producing Real Deliverables – Contribute to planning reports, presentations, and technical documents under the guidance of senior professionals.
  • Applying Industry Standards – Learn to use proper transportation planning methodologies, codes, and best practices.
  • Experiencing the Field – Get out of the office and participate in site visits or public engagement efforts.
