About The Position

BJC HealthCare is seeking an Intern for our Periop team for the summer! Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As a Level I trauma center, an OR suite is always available for a critically injured patient. Operating rooms at Barnes-Jewish Hospital are divided into five pods. Each pod includes 12 to 15 operating rooms that are dedicated to one service area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

• Provides general support to aide in the completion of department tasks, projects and programs
• Completes all tasks and projects proactively and independently
• Produces presentations, spreadsheets and other documents
