The Performance and Power Engineering Intern will be responsible for contributing to critical development projects. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency and attention to detail. Contribute to the design, development, and support of new or existing HDD firmware, with a focus on performance and power features related to command execution, cache optimization, CPU utilization, servo/mechanical interactions, and overall system efficiency. Implement, validate, and maintain performance and power components utilizing industry-standard development methodologies to ensure product quality and reliability. Develop comprehensive test cases for firmware, performance, and power features to guarantee robust functionality and optimal performance. Engage in critical design meetings, test planning sessions, and code reviews to ensure alignment with project goals and quality standards. Collaborate effectively with internal and cross-functional teams to develop innovative, high-quality firmware solutions that meet or exceed performance benchmarks. Meticulously document findings in the bug tracking system, create and update technical documentation, and prepare detailed presentations for communicating complex ideas and results to stakeholders.
