About The Position

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is searching for an IT Support Intern to assists with day-to-day technical support for Hotels, Corporate Office and Enterprise IT technologies. The Support Intern troubleshoots and supports IT hardware, software, and applications to maintain operational efficiencies while making sure we provide excellent customer service. This internship is based on site out of our corporate office in Downtown Milwaukee. A division of The Marcus Corporation, Marcus Hotels & Resorts has a rich 60-year history of operational and service excellence. Focused on expanding our U.S. based portfolio of 15 hotels and resorts, our properties are known for their unique character and style.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite (M365)
  • Cellular and tablet technologies, OS, and applications (iOS, Android)
  • Wireless, telecommunications, and networking knowledge
  • PC hardware knowledge
  • Excellent incident identification and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels
  • Must be strong at both working as part of a team and independently as required
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on business needs and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to follow-through in all work

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-tier technical support and incident management for the corporate office and hotel associates.
  • Triage and escalate the more complex technical problems to higher tier support.
  • Work closely with HTAC team on urgent and time critical issues.
  • Understand and assist with mobile device and PC/laptop acquisition, set up, and delivery.
  • Document all asset management changes and ensure all incidents and requests are recorded using corporate ticketing systems.
  • Escalate advanced technical problems to senior support technicians.
  • Remain aware of current information system trends and technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
